29 Nov 2013 Kent, WA – Thanks to an event in the Northwest with absolutely no issue relating to weather, even the very light drizzle played right into the racer’s minds as they were all indoors for the 2nd Annual Practice Tree Nationals at Pacific Raceways.
This event pits everyone aginst everyone. Jr. Dragster drivers aginst a Super Pro Firebird owner, something you will not see on the dragstrip, but on the “practice tree” all is equal. 31 entrants got their shot at the tree in a ladder format until the two class winner’s prevailed.
Other “events” included golf, tri-cycles, raffle prizes and more.
The Griots gift box went to Diane Pettit and what had to be the most enjoyable event of the day – the 60′ tri-cycle race. Full grown men and one kid peddeling a trike. The whole croud had the kid picked to win it all but out of nowhere came the event winner Randy Brown to take the kid out in the semi’s. That win put Randy aginst Martin Lambert who singled into the final. In the final Randy used a traction advantage as Martin spun badly at the start. Add to this hot food surved up by Kirt and the numerious raffel prizes made this second event an event to attend after Holiday stuffing the day before.

Jason Beggerly claimed the Pro class and Paul Youngs got the Sportsmans prize.
Ryan Steen got the Drumstick prize with a chip shot 28″ from the pin.
