30 July 2015 Kent, WA – This day is set aside to give those that have been thru the ProFormance School or those that just want to get more seat time in their car a chance to make laps on the road course. 22 July 2015 Kent, WA – When the road course and drag strip share the same space the spilt in the day comes around 4:00pm. ProFormance Race School has the morning with his class of students and open lapping after lunch for those who just want to take advantage of the track time.
Then comes the mad scramble to convert to drag racing. It does not take long as this is something that the track personal have done many times. Road racer’s rigs going out and the rigs of the straight line racer’s flowing in.
This race brings the Urban Custom Bike Series to the track for race number six in their summer series. This brings pure street and pure drag bikes to run for the trophy.
That trophy landed in the hands of Joe Lind with Jacob Becker on the losing end.
08 July 2015 Kent, WA – Over the span of 12 to 14 hours the multi-use aspect of Pacific Raceways comes thru. On most days Wednesday to Sunday all the uses of the tracks at Pacfic Raceways can come into play.
Though the photos today show the road-course and drag strip the motocross and kart track were also in operation.
If motorsports of most any kind is your me thing then you need to check Pacific’s web-site and lock into the venue that meets your needs.

01 July 2015 Kent, WA – The students at school today brought their daily drivers to see how it would hold up. Never fear as the school and the teaching methods are as safe and up to date as can be. It really makes no difference if you are in a Porsche or a Jeep you get the same attention.
It is all about you and how to handle in a safer manner than before you started the class. Bringing out a freshly built car this auto body guy has put together had to be a thrill bringing to life what you put together yourself. Another young guy is following his father who drives a Porsche on a race team has proven himself on the kart track already, way to go Ben!
Just two of the many who come to the school for the safest way to drive your car fast and most of all safe. Check the website for info on upcoming dates.
25 June 2015 Kent, WA – When lapping days come around the cars that show up will surprise you at times. Such was the case today of those that ran around Pacific’s 2.25 mile track. It is not unusual to see BMW’s, Audi’s and Corvette’s taking advantage of these days. Adding to that mix today was a Lotus and a McLaren with a fine copper colored paint covering it.
I have to say that I have not seen one of these cars on the track here. Anything with “gull wing” doors will draw attention but once you look inside and see what it there it becomes more impressive with “race” proven parts and pieces. I have to say that even before I talked with the owner he was having a blast driving it around the track.
These are the types of cars that when put out on the track they can take advantage of what the car has, and this one has. Was a fun time watching and photographing these fine cars on the track today.

24 June 2015 Kent, WA – The reasons to go to the ProFormance School are many, though a lot are the same. It really does not matter the reason, all who come out of it are better drivers for it.
Many of us think that we can drive until the instructors start showing you differently. Very complete is how I can describe the class. With classroom and walking tours around the grounds even before you get behind the wheel. Yes you are at the wheel at the beginning as these are the planned steps to show you what to expect from your car under these conditions. All strange at the beginning then it clicks and you breeze right thru them.

18 June 2015 Kent, WA – The more I watch and listen to the students who sign up to go thru the ProFormance School the more reasons I learn why they are taking the courses. Like the books that the racers keep on the ways to race the reasons are many. Most are pretty common like just becoming a better driver or a “bucket list” that you always wanted to do, no matter the reason going thru the school is the best thing you can do to become a better driver no matter the application.
The license that the state issues you after you pass the driving portion allows you to run the roads, the license you can get from ProFormance after passing the driving test will allow you to drive in a road race event. The last post is a great example of this with the two young men that went thru the school.

17 June 2015 Kent, WA – The happenings today at ProFormance Racing School could not be any farther apart in what they are and here for. It started put with a group picture for Cardiac Dimensions Racing for a team building get together.
Taking the entire team thru the day long class and driving experience on the 2.25 mile road course. Though most all have never driven in this or any other type of motor sport and by the end of the day all were driving as though it was no big deal or like they had been here many times before. This is a testament to the instructors and owner Don Kitch and the way they teach.
Speaking about teaching a couple of weeks ago a couple of young men from Oregon came up and went through the school. Today 18 year old Gracin Raz and 16 year old Noah Gragson were testing here with their K&N race cars for an upcoming race in Sonoma CA. A high school grad just days ago Gracin has already proven himself as a driver and Noah is not far behind him. Both looked and sounded smooth in their four hour testing session with all with the approved permission by NASCAR.
It was quite a treat to meet two very polite and gifted young men, and I say men because they have earned it even thou their time on earth is a small number. I wish them good luck and hope to see them again. Seeing and hearing their cars thunder down the straightaway was quite an experience.

10 Jun 2015 Kent, WA – When people sign up for the ProFormance Racing School they have a number of reasons to do so. For many it is a stepping stone to a potential racing job and other’s it is a bucket list item. Add now to that list the just wanting to be a better defensive driver.
Two drivers’ today were doing just that, one going on a road trip using the back roads and another going to Germany and the fast paced roads there. This is not about going fast but more toward being prepared for just about anything that you may encounter. Those back roads have plenty of four legged creatures that could cross your path and knowing how to correctly avoid without impact is a basic skill that is brought to your attention in the school.
Running on the high speed hi-ways in Germany what part of your windshield you need to pay attention to for potential issues up ahead. Two separate reasons for the use of the school but the same bottom line – be a better driver.

Young to old and everyone in between is a candidate for a class in driving thru the school located on the Pacific Raceways track. The knowledge that you gain far outweighs what you think you know about driving under control. Young class takers out to see if this type of driving will fill the desire to be a race driver someday and the elder folks who are filling a bucket list or just to see if the skills they have possessed in the past are still around.
