2013-09-07 Kent, WA – Winners! Winners! Winners!
The last Swift Tool Race of the season brought crowned the champions after a long run to the end of the season, then the champs raced for King of the Track crown. Quite an action packed two day’s of racing.
Add to the race weekend the PNSCA # 10 and their 8.90 race cars and the WSCA and their group of fast street cars. Of note Garrett Richards in his one of a kind Ford motor developed by local legend Walt Austin ran 6.261 at 242.93 mph for low ET and top speed of the weekend. On the final run on Sat. Mark Sanders lived up to his car name. Just as the chutes deployed the motor threw a rod and lit the car on fire. “Mr. Explosive” got by with slight body damage thanks to the quick work by Pacific’s top end safety guys.
