Hot weather with a brief delay on Friday for some sprinkles brought the fans to the seats to watch the fastest sport on wheels.<\/p>\n<p>Those who attended all three days saw non-stop action with sub four second times with speeds hovering around 320 mph. From the Top Fuel class to the 10.90&#8217;s in the Super Street class for the sportsman racers, there were eleven classes contending for the coveted &#8220;Wally&#8221; trophy, which brings many racer&#8217;s to the strip for a chance at a very hard to get trophy from a National event.<\/p>\n<p>It was great to see Seattle Native Mark Lyle, the chief starter for NHRA back in the northwest.\u00a0 The North Bend resident was able to enjoy time home during a national event.<\/p>\n<p>The Northwest Nationals winner&#8217;s for this year are:<\/p>\n<p>TOP FUEL: Doug Kalitta over Antron Brown<br \/>\nFUNNY CAR: John Force over Gary Densham<br \/>\nPRO STOCK: Jason Line over Greg Anderson<br \/>\nT\/AD: Joey Severance over Chris Demke<br \/>\nT\/FC: Doug Gordon over Sean Bellemeur<br \/>\nCOMP: Brandon Huhtala over Ryan Warter<br \/>\nSUPER STOCK: Terry Anderson over Alan Falcone<br \/>\nSTOCK: Tim Fletcher over Mick Alley<br \/>\nSUPER COMP: Marc Heritage over Roger Comstock<br \/>\nSUPER GAS: Mick Shannon over Tanner Hiatt<br \/>\nSUPER STREET: Kyle Colletti over John Ermish<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>03 Aug 2014 Kent, WA &#8211; For the 27th time the NHRA brought the National tour to Seattle.
