\"HPSDD<\/a>07 Dec 2013 Kent, WA – Winter has not offically arrive yet on the calender but the cold weather whiped across the rest of the country creating havoc.\u00a0 It ended driving at any kind speed, try and it would not end well.<\/p>\n

But that was not the case for this weeks HPSDD at Pacific Raceways. Yes it was cold; but the sun was shining over most of the track and it was dry. No snow or ice to contend with, just the cold temps and a slight breeze that created a wind chill that is quite biting if you were not dressed for it.<\/p>\n

Nobody understood this better than the turn worker’s,\u00a0 who were in and out of the sunshine as the day went by. The cold did not bother most of the drivers, as most of them were in cars that have heaters. Learning to drive when the temp is below freezing on any surface is a challenge of it’s own, and to go ahead and do it as fast as you can was a whole new deal.<\/p>\n

Doing this type of driving at driving school is the best way to go. Located on the Pacific Raceways property is The ProFormance Racing School, and its instructors teach this control and safety to anyone who wishes to learn. Over the season of HPSDD series events the diverse weather has given many conditions from which to learn.
